General Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Supervising and effectively communicating with subordinate management and staff
  • Managing the operations and maintenance of the regional park
  • Administering the budget for the regional park and golf course including:
  • Providing recommendations for and ensuring compliance with operational policies, priorities, and standards relating to park operations in order to achieve long and short-term program objectives, establishing systems for monitoring programs, developing long-term project plans and operational methods, and participating in developing organization goals and objectives.
  • Interviewing and participating in the selection of candidates for employment, supervising employee training procedures and standards by subordinate supervisory staff, recommending and taking action on personnel matters, evaluating subordinate staff, and interpreting and ensuring compliance with park policies and employee standards.
  • Acting as a regional safety officer, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements, identifying safety concerns, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Managing difficult situations and unusual problems involving interpretation of park policies and reviewing complaints from park patrons and recommending solutions to the Board of Directors.
  • Acting as a liaison with the St. Brieux Regional Park Authority Board of Directors, contributing partners of the regional park, Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association, and contractors.

  • Be available for the entire operating season from May 01 to September 30
  • Respect and abide by all park, golf course, and employee policies and rules
  • Be reliable, responsible, energetic, and affirmative
  • Have great customer service skills
  • Be able to schedule and supervise a staff of at least 30 workers
  • Possess adequate knowledge about regional parks
  • Be willing to work on a flexible schedule
  • Be available for extended hours on busy days, weekends, nights, and event dates
  • Be 19 years of age or older
  • Have a valid Driver’s Licence
  • Have his or her own accommodation and reliable transportation

**Previous management experience is an asset**

Clubhouse Manager

  • Have great customer service skills
  • Be able to schedule and supervise a staff of at least 4 workers
  • Possess adequate knowledge about golf (e.g., scoring, rules, etc.)
  • Be able to create a menu and prepare hot and cold meals
  • Be willing to work on a flexible schedule
  • Be available for extended hours on all tournament and event dates
  • Be able to work some evenings and weekends
  • Be 19 years of age or older
  • Have a valid Driver’s Licence
  • Have his or her own accommodation and reliable transportation

Red Cross Swim Instructor

Maintenance Staff

Duties include but are not limited to: cleaning washrooms and the fish filleting shack, organic waste removal, trimming, tree removal, stacking wood, trenching, harrowing, weeding, painting, erecting and removing signage, garbage cleanup, sorting recyclables, and other light duties at the campground and golf course.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Must be available from May 07, 2018 to September 19, 2018
  • Must be willing and available to work on holidays
  • Must be willing and available to work morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Must have own accommodation and reliable transportation
